The Yucatec offer blood up to the gods to power their abilities, so you'll need to get your hands dirty in the Contest Phase, or spread the Yucatan poison, to ensure there's enough damage being done.
Become an engineer of Mechanicus and equip characters together until you've built the ultimate machine. Mechanicus also specialise in doing direct damage from afar, representing the full range of weaponry you'd expect from this technologically advanced warstate.
